Private boat tours from Kaštela: what to check before booking

Kaštela extends along Kaštela Bay through seven historic settlements, so the city name alone is not a precise boarding point. This guide helps you check departure, duration, route, and inclusions without turning destination information into a promise from an individual partner.

Three checks before sending a request

The current partner offer defines the service. Official sources help you check destination and weather context.

  1. 01

Confirm the settlement and boarding point

Kaštel Stari, Kaštel Novi, and Kaštel Gomilica are not one departure point. Open the current offer and check its public meeting location; the partner confirms final operational details with the booking.

  2. 02

Separate a route outline from a guaranteed itinerary

A tour title may name several islands and bays, but stop order, time ashore, and route feasibility depend on conditions and partner confirmation. Do not coordinate another ticket or lunch without that confirmation.

  3. 03

    Check what is actually included

Skipper, fuel, admission, food, and drinks are not automatically included because a tour is private. The specific published offer is the source for inclusions.

Why the exact departure point matters

The Kaštela Tourist Board says the city stretches for about 17 kilometres and consists of seven settlements. “Departure from Kaštela” is therefore not enough information for timing your arrival.

Check the settlement, public meeting point, and required arrival time. Do not assume a marina, waterfront, or nearby beach is the boarding point without partner confirmation.

How to read duration and route

Half-day and full-day tours are different products. Compare the published duration with the number of destinations and confirm whether the boat is private or the offer is for a shared departure.

Sailing time, stop order, and time ashore may change for safety, sea conditions, or an agreement with the partner. This guide does not publish a fixed schedule that is absent from the offer.

Check weather and sea conditions for your date

DHMZ publishes a dedicated Adriatic forecast for mariners with wind, sea-state, and warning information. It is more relevant to a boat day than a general city forecast.

Forecasts change, so calm water and every planned stop cannot be guaranteed in advance. The authorised partner operating the boat makes the final safety decision.

Swimming, equipment, and lunch are not automatic

Bays and beaches may be planned stops, but swimming depends on conditions and the published itinerary. Masks, towels, or other equipment are included only when the offer lists them.

The same applies to lunch, drinks, and admission. A private tour means the boat is for your group; it does not mean every extra cost is included.

What to plan before or after the boat

The official Kaštela site lists waterfront areas, beaches, and several settlements around the bay. That can help with independent planning before or after a tour.

Those places are not part of the boat booking. Check opening times, transport, and access separately, especially if you continue to Split, Trogir, or the airport on the same day.
