Account and Data Deletion Policy
1. Purpose
This Policy explains how a User can request account deletion and what data may be deleted, restricted, anonymised or retained under applicable rules.
2. How to request account deletion
In the app, the account deletion request is available at: Profile → Privacy & Legal → Delete account.
If the User cannot access the app, the request may be sent to support@carandvibe.com or legal@carandvibe.com.
3. What is deleted or deactivated
- the user account and Platform access;
- active sessions and access tokens where applicable;
- push tokens and notification preferences linked to the account where applicable;
- profile and contact data no longer needed for permitted retention purposes;
- data that can be anonymised or separated from the User’s identity.
4. Data that may be retained
Deleting an account does not automatically delete all records. Car&Vibe may retain data that it must or is allowed to keep for legal, tax, accounting, payment, security, dispute, complaint or fraud-prevention reasons.
- booking, payment, refund and fee records;
- invoices, credit notes, cancellation documents and accounting records;
- data needed for complaints, disputes, safety incidents or misuse handling;
- support communications and booking-related messages where retention is needed;
- technical and security logs for a limited period.
5. Partners and payment providers
Deleting a Car&Vibe account does not automatically delete records separately held by Partners, Stripe or other payment service providers. Those parties may keep their own records where needed for the service, invoices, legal obligations, security or disputes.
6. Response time
Car&Vibe will handle the request within the period required by law. If the request is complex or requires additional identity verification, Car&Vibe may request additional information or notify the User of an extension in accordance with applicable law.
7. Active bookings
If the User has an active or recently completed booking, account deletion may be delayed or partially restricted until payments, refunds, complaints, safety issues or legal obligations are resolved.
